Privacy Policy

Effective September 2026

This policy explains how the TankTally Android app handles information. The short version is simple: TankTally is an offline calculator and does not collect or transmit personal data.

Information collection

TankTally does not collect personal data or usage data. It has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking technologies, cookies or sensitive permissions. We do not sell, rent or share information with third parties.

Calculator entries

Tank dimensions, liquid levels and calculated results stay within the app while you use it. They are not transmitted to us or to anyone else.

Local theme preference

The only preference TankTally stores is your light or dark theme choice. It is stored locally on your device so the app can remember your display choice. Removing the app clears this preference according to normal Android behavior.

Contact preview

The in-app Contact screen is an offline preview form. It does not send or store any name, email address or message you enter. It intentionally has no working submission action.

Data access and deletion

TankTally does not hold data on a server, so there is no server-held personal data for us to access, correct or delete. You can clear the local theme preference by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app.

Children’s privacy

TankTally is a general-purpose utility and is not specifically designed to collect information from children. Because the app collects no personal data from any user, the same no-data practices apply regardless of age. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of any device as they consider appropriate.

Changes

If TankTally’s practices change in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version is released. The effective date above will also be revised.

Questions

Use the Contact preview inside the app to see what a future contact form may look like. The current form is deliberately offline and cannot send a message.
